Newsletter 4 July 2017

The red and white begoinas are edible….

As this is a national holiday the Green Deane newsletter is taking this publishing day off. The full newsletter will return next week. However below is the upcoming foraging class schedule for July.  Note this month there are two unusual locations, LeStrange Preserve in Ft. Pierce this Sunday the ninth and Venetian Gardens in Leesburg on the 23rd. Although LaStrange is only a couple of miles from the interstate and turnpike it is relatively untouched and does not have running water or bathrooms (no official ones at least.) Also there are plans to visit Haul Over Canal this year but presently the bridge over the canal is under construction and not passable.

Classes are held rain or shine.

Saturday, July 8th, Blanchard Park, 10501 Jay Blanchard Trail, Orlando, FL 32817. 9 a.m. Meet east side of the tennis courts near the YMCA building.
